This database provides access for the first time to baseline information on the status of countries’ regarding the implementation of the global action plan and actions to address antimicrobial resistance across all sectors.

Feed safety and antimicrobial resistance get central stage at the yearly, long-established get together of feed regulators and industry representatives from around the world. A record number of participants from 35 different countries, joined the 10th International Feed Regulators Meeting (IFRM) in Atlanta, USA and addressed together some of the priorities of the sector; namely, feed safety risk management and strategies to minimize antimicrobial resistance.

06/06/2017WHO updates Essential Medicines List with new advice on use of antibiotics, and adds medicines for hepatitis C, HIV, tuberculosis and cancer
New advice on which antibiotics to use for common infections and which to preserve for the most serious circumstances is among the additions to the WHO Model list of essential medicines for 2017. Other additions include medicines for HIV, hepatitis C, tuberculosis and leukaemia.
